Social Projects
As “Naturfreund” (friend of nature) in Switzerland, we cannot turn a blind eye when injustice occurs. It always affects those with the least protection – the poorest, the most vulnerable. Our connection to nature teaches us responsibility, empathy, and solidarity. And that is precisely why it is our moral duty to pay attention, to stand up, and to help wherever we can.
Caritas – Doing the Right Thing.

In Switzerland, over 700,000 people are living in poverty – individuals whose daily lives are marked by worry, deprivation, and uncertainty. Many more live just above the poverty line, unsure how long they can keep their heads above water. All of them need support to secure their basic existence.
But poverty is more than just a lack of money. It cuts people off from social life, robs them of opportunities, and dims their outlook. The projects of Caritas bring hope exactly here: they enable participation, restore agency, and open the door to a dignified, self-determined life.
Every program, every encounter, and every measure brings us closer to a Switzerland where no one is left behind – a Switzerland without poverty.
THIS is OUR COMMITMENT
In cooperation with Caritas Switzerland, we provide Swiss families living at or below the poverty line with an opportunity to step away from their everyday burdens. We sponsor a stay that can offer temporary relief and create space for shared time together.
The natural landscape of Grindelwald, with its valleys, peaks, and the wide range of experiences available throughout the Jungfrau region, is open to everyone. It offers rest, tranquillity, and the chance to regain strength.
With each stay, we support families in creating meaningful memories and fostering renewed confidence – as part of an environment that welcomes all.

Humane World – Rescuing those without a voice

Since 1954, Humane World has been fighting to make this world a more humane place for animals. Shoulder to shoulder – as the Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International – they have helped pass thousands of landmark laws, rescued hundreds of thousands of animals, and cared for and protected millions more, giving them a voice.
In 2025, a new chapter began: to convey their mission more clearly and show everyone who they are and how boldly they act, the organizations are now united under a single, strong name: Humane World for Animals.
A name that expresses what they – and we – stand for: a world where every animal counts!
THIS is OUR COMMITMENT
We support the organization and its individual projects regularly with donations – out of conviction and responsibility. We follow their work closely, track new initiatives, challenges, and successes, and share their stories so that they are never unheard.
Because it is about those who have no voice. About animals who cannot defend themselves against human greed, hate, and often cruel brutality. Their protection, dignity, and right to a life without suffering are deeply close to our hearts.
With every donation, every shared story, and every moment of attention, we stand by their side – and for a world where compassion is stronger than indifference.

The current project we support emphatically: STOP DOG AND CAT MEAT TRAFFIC
Every year, millions of dogs and cats are torn from their homes, stolen from the streets, and cruelly killed in the illegal meat trade. They suffer unimaginable pain at every step – trapped, transported, beaten, and slaughtered – while this brutal industry also threatens human communities.
Across Asia, voices are rising against this cruelty. In 2024, South Korea passed a historic nationwide ban, offering hope that by 2027 millions of innocent lives will be spared.
Humane World for Animals is fighting tirelessly to end this suffering through education, advocacy, and programs that help those involved transition to humane livelihoods. In 2024 alone, hundreds of animals were rescued as farms, restaurants, and slaughterhouses were shut down in Vietnam, China, and beyond.
The fight continues. Humane World for Animals will not rest until the dog and cat meat trade is consigned to history.
